Is substantial transformation the right test? An analysis of the first Court decision on new Country of Origin Labelling laws

The Australian Federal Court has handed down the first judicial decision to specifically address the issue of “substantial transformation” since Australia’s new Country of Origin Labelling laws came into effect earlier in 2018. This article analyses the Court’s finding and poses the question of whether this finding is consistent with the intended effect of Australia’s Country of Origin laws and the “substantial transformation” test.
