Futureproofing against sustainability requirements

The workshop runs from 10:30am - 12:30pm AEST*

* AEST is Australian Eastern Standard Time

Consumers are placing higher value on more sustainable products. However, with the ACCC placing increased focus on misleading ‘greenwashing’ claims and incoming changes to waste management requirements, it can be challenging to know whether an environmental goal could actually lead to risk.

Our workshop will explore examples and practical ways that food businesses can futureproof their sustainability claims and practices, including:

  •  When "greenwishing" can lead to greenwashing
  •  Current and recent regulator actions against misleading environmental and sustainability claims
  •  Substantiation steps for various marketing claims, including claims about sustainable inputs, carbon footprint and waste
  •  Opportunities for businesses to reduce food waste
  •  Upcoming and recent changes to waste stream requirements, including for offshore recycling and use of packaging materials
  •  Applicability of industry standards and certification

 Who should attend?:

  •   R&D
  •   Marketing
  •   QA
  •   Legal
  •   Regulatory
  •   Packaging
  •   Sustainability
  •   ESR & CSR
