Do the new Country of Origin food labelling laws apply to B2B transactions?

The new Country of Origin Food Labelling Information Standard 2016 (the Information Standard) will be mandatory from 1 July 2018. The Information Standard requires certain foods to comply with the new country of origin labelling requirements and places restrictions on when the kangaroo logo may be used. It is clear that these labelling laws apply to food sold by the business to consumers. This article discusses how the Information Standard applies to business-to-business (B2B) transactions as well.
