ANZFSC – Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code - a code that prescribes compositional, chemical, microbiological, labelling and other standards for all food offered for sale in Australia. The code was adopted by ANZFRMC, and made part of law in every State under a Model Food Act. FSANZ is responsible for making recommendations to ANZFRMC on any changes or amendments that should be made to the ANZFSC.

The HACCP plan is based on seven principles identified in the Codex Guidelines for the Application of Hazard System adopted by the 20th Session of the Joint Food and Agricultural Organisation and World Health Organisation Codex Alimentarius Commission 1993.
